Lord of the Flies
Lord of the flies is a symbolic book about a school of kids that get stranded on an island. It was very interesting, the kids fought over who was leader, so they split up into two groups. One group was building fires and rescue to try to get back to their life, the other is for killing things, eating meat and living there forever. They started to kill each other, mainly the savages, or the people who wanted to live on the island were killing the people who wanted to go back to civilization. It is very intense and a great read. The question I had throughout the whole thing is: are people naturally good or bad?The thing that I got out of the book is that people are not all good or evil.
The Ranger's Apprentice
The Rangers Apprentice series was one of my favorite series I have read. I started reading them the summer after 6th grade, took a break, then finished the series. The books are about a kid who has always been a weakling, but very fast, sneaky and agile. He was bullied, until a mysterious person, a "ranger" tests his abilities. He becomes the ranger's apprentice and the ranger trains the kid to shoot faster and more accurately than ever thought possible, he teaches him how to move among shadows and be unseen, and more things I can't recall. What I have just described is just a small fraction of the first book. I suggest this book to kids from 5th-8th grade.
How reading has effected me
Reading has effected me since I learned how to. The most effect it has had on me is it has made my vocabulary much larger. It has also taught me a lot about life and how to deal with unique situations. It is a very good thing to do, seeing as it helps your vocabulary and it is interesting. Sorry this is such a short blog, this is just a blog about how reading can help you in life.

*What I am currently reading*
I am currently reading a few books. One book I am reading One Piece, a manga about some Pirates who plan on going to the mysterious Ocean: The Grand Line. Where I am, they are in a haunted mansion. This is the first time in One Piece that has had zombies and walking skeletons. It has a lot of chapters, and I am in the 400s. It also has an anime, which is in the 300s.
Another book I am reading is Yureka, it's also a manga, it's about a Video game Character that has a mind of her own and takes a liking to the main character and thinks that he's her creator. It's very funny and has a lot of nerdy references that only people like me would get. I'm on chapter 78/100somthing
Lastly, I am reading a book called Katekyo Hitman Reborn. It's about a Mafia baby who trains a middle school kid to become a mafia boss. It sounds weird, but it's very funny and cool. It's a Shonen manga with over 200 chapters I'm at like 10 chapters from the top.
What is manga?

I had someone ask me, "What is manga?" I actually had trouble explaining what it was. From what I have read, there are 2 genres of manga, shojo and shonen. Shojo manga are basically cute romances that are normally read by girls, but men read them sometimes as well. Shonen manga are action manga, normally fiction. They were originally created in Japan and they are read right to left. They have pictures that are normally black and white, and there are many times shows created based off of the manga. Some of my recommendations of shojo manga are: Hana Kimi and Moe Kare. Some of my recommendations of shonen manga are: One piece, Bleach and D-gray man.

Can You imagine a perfect book for you?
My book would be a fiction book about 2 dreaming kids (Best friends) that want to become photographers. It’d be a comedy. They would try to capture almost imposible to get images. Near the middle-end of the book, they would be taking pictures of things in the city, discovering new camera angles, when they see that a building is getting broken into, so they take a bunch of pictures of the people breaking in. What should they do next?
